About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to lead and grow our team of mental health professionals. This is a permanent position with options for full-time or part-time employment. As a pivotal member of our healthcare team, you will provide high quality psychological assessments, treatments and interventions while also contributing to the strategic improvement of our mental health services, and the development of your mental health team.

Our service

Located in Everton Park, GO2 Health is a leading holistic medical centre dedicated to offering integrated healthcare services that combine traditional medicine with alternative therapies. We are committed to providing individualised, high-quality care for our community which consists predominantly of both private and DVA clients. We currently host a team of over 50 practitioners, consisting of 15+ GPs and various other healthcare professionals.

 

GO2 Health is also the largest contemporary veteran medical clinic in the country with over 6,000 contemporary veterans in our care under our REFORGE veteran care brand.

 

The REFORGE veteran care brand facilitates a number of health programs, including Australia’s leading veteran-specific chronic pain management program that focusses on building self-mastery and resilience. Led by a team of medical and allied health

practitioners, the program is overseen by our Clinical Director and Pain Specialist. The REFORGE veteran pain program is fully a DVA funded, multi-modality education and intervention program based on an evidence-based, empathetic approach to pain management in the contemporary veteran cohort.

Ideal applicant

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in clinical psychology and a strong commitment to holistic healthcare. In addition, leadership skills and a proven track record in team management and service growth are essential. We are seeking someone who is proactive, empathetic, and highly skilled in patient care as well as fostering a growing team. This position is ideally suited to individuals with clinical psychology background but wanting to grow their managerial development and experience.

Essential
  • A Master’s degree or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and growing a team of mental health professionals

  • Current Medicare Provider Number (or ability to attain)

  • Excellent communication and approachable interpersonal skills

  • A strong commitment to integrated and holistic approaches in mental health care

  • Trauma-based psychotherapy skills

  • Schema therapy and EMDR training and experience – highly desirable

  • Experience or interest in military health and/or chronic pain – highly advantageous
