Frequently asked questions
When you discharge from your service with defence, you may have been issued with your medical records (also known as Med Docs).
You will need these to start your claims process.
Please note we can only accept digital copies of Med Docs.
If you do not have these, you will need to request them. You can do so by making an ex-member service records request at the following:

Upon enquiry you should receive a call from us within 1-2 days.
We’ll work with you to get your claims submitted as efficiently as possible.
From the time of submission until DVA determination, can vary from 1-2 years, depending on the claim.
We have many ways to support you during this time.
Through provisional access to medical treatment (PAMT) you will have access to GO2 Health allied health services to help you until determination of your claim comes through.
There are many types of advocates. Some charge as an independent advocate for their assistance (i.e. a solicitor). Some are provided by RSL to help you navigate your claims.
We can also help prepare your initial liability claims documents ready for submission.
If you have entered into a contractual agreement with an advocate for this service, you will need to discuss this with our Claims Manager and your contracted Advocate before we can commence any work.
Assistance with preparing your claims is a service that GO2 Health are happy to offer free of charge to veterans.
