Evidence-based practice plays a crucial role in ensuring veterans receive informed, accurate, and timely delivery of care. Evidence-based practice includes integrating the best available research evidence with clinical expertise and veteran values to guide the model of care.
The specific values, concerns, and expectations of veterans are best understood from veterans themselves. The goal of the GO2 Health Veteran Consumer Group Panel is to embed active participation of GO2 Health veteran patients across all stages of prospective veteran-based research and development of health interventions and services, from priority setting to evaluation.
We highlight the importance of grounding healthcare priorities in lived experience and ensuring that veterans play a central role, in partnership with both REFORGE Research Translation Hub and GO2 Health, when shaping the policies, programs, and services that affect you. Veterans who are experiencing or who have experienced long-term health challenges, diseases, and conditions related to their ADF service have valuable insights into how to best personalise healthcare interventions, what is needed to improve your quality of life, and how to provide the best possible care across all stages of health service delivery. For these reasons, we have developed a Consumer Group Panel of current GO2 Health veteran patients for discussions on veteran healthcare delivery, implementation, and evaluation.
Please read the following information on expressing interest in becoming a Consumer Group Panellist.
